SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Martin L. Combs of Carrollton, who passed away on April 1, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Martin Combs was born in Carrollton on November 30, 1948 to Carlie and Nadine Baker Combs; he served in the United States Marine Corps and married Arlene Hedger; and

WHEREAS, Martin Combs worked for Cassen Truck Line and for Pepsi; and

WHEREAS, Martin Combs enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping; he also enjoyed music, playing guitar, and visiting with family and friends; he was a member of the "We Three" band; and

WHEREAS, Martin Combs was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Martin Combs is survived by his daughter, Amy (Tim) Duncan; his 3 grandchildren, Bret, Karlie, and Jordan; and many other relatives; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Martin L. Combs, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martin Combs as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
