| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Elroy H. Becker of Harvard, who passed | 4 | | away on February 20, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Elroy Becker was born in Athens, Wisconsin on | 6 | | March 6, 1926 to Paul and Anna (nee Fuss) Becker; he married | 7 | | Darlene Stevens; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Elroy Becker worked on the Ira Thompson Farm north | 9 | | of Poplar Grove; after retiring from farming, he worked | 10 | | carpentry for all of his friends around the area; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Elroy Becker looked forward to having his family | 12 | | over for Sunday dinners; he enjoyed fishing and building things | 13 | | with his children and grandchildren; he had a passion for | 14 | | gardening and a love for music and he was known to be light on | 15 | | his feet; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Elroy Becker was preceded in death by his parents; | 17 | | his son, Steve Becker; his brother, Harold Becker; his 2 | 18 | | sisters, Elda and Elmyra Garbrecht; his 2 grandchildren, | 19 | | Brandon and Ember; his 2 great-grandchildren; his 3 | 20 | | step-brothers, Herbert, Arthur, and Erwin Becker; and his | 21 | | step-sister, Ruth McCollugh; and

| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Elroy H. Becker, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
