SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael C. Upperman, III of Springfield, who passed away on April 10, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III was born on October 1, 1992, in Champaign, to Michael Upperman, Jr. and Kimberly (nee Hanney) Clark; and

WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III was a very involved member of Sigma Chi Fraternity; he served on a National Leadership Board and held various positions with Sigma Chi; he was also chosen to attend the Leadership Academy at Southeast Missouri State University; and

WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III enjoyed hanging out with his friends and fraternity brothers, target shooting, and traveling abroad; and

WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ada Clark, and his beloved Nana; and

WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III is survived by his parents Kim and Scott Clark; 2 sisters, Courtney Upperman and Nichole (Ryan) Strebing; a brother, Chad Clark; his grandparents, Bill and Barb Hanney, Bob Clark, Phyllis Quigley, and Mike and Carolyn Upperman; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Sophie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael C. Upperman, III; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Upperman, III as an expression of our sympathy.
