SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy Nicolet Schulz of Alton, who passed away on April 5, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz was born in Alton on October 14, 1928 to Leo and Mary Jane Nicolet; she graduated from Alton High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing; she married Arthur E. Schulz on October 7, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz spent the next 40 years as a nurse helping others; this culminated in her position as the longtime Director of Nursing at Alton Memorial Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz is survived by her husband, Arthur; her 5 children and their spouses, John and Marie Schulz, Rebecca and Ron Wilkinson, Eric and Pamela Schulz, Ned and Jill Schulz, and Marilyn and Dan Erzen; her 11 grandchildren; and her 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dorothy Nicolet Schulz, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dorothy Schulz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
