SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dzemal Mulasmajic, who passed away on
4January 7, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dzemal Mulasmajic was born in Novi Seher, Bosnia
6(then Yugoslavia) on September 1, 1939 to Ibrahim and Rukija
7(nee Kurajlic) Mulasmajic; he immigrated to the United States
8in 1962; he met and married Doris Cripe in 1964; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dzemal Mulasmajic and his wife lived in Chicago
10for 2 years and then moved to Palatine for 8 years; he was a
11mechanical engineer with Sargent & Lundy Engineering and was
12active in the Lions Club and the Republican Party; he became
13interested in real estate and obtained his license; in 1973, he
14moved his family to Marengo and started his own Homeland Real
15Estate Corp. and continued in real estate and development for
16the next 36 years; in Marengo, he was very active in the
17Masonic Lodge and the United Methodist Church; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dzemal Mulasmajic loved his family, his pets and
19animals in general, and helping people; he and his family
20brought many other families to the United States during and
21after the 1992 war in Bosnia and helped them get started in
22order to have a better life; and

1    WHEREAS, Dzemal Mulasmajic was preceded in death by his
2parents; his 2 brothers; a niece and a nephew; a sister-in-law;
3and a brother-in-law; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Dzemal Mulasmajic is survived by his wife, Doris;
5his daughters, Lura (Joseph) Asby, Sara Mulasmajic, and Tanja
6Jovancevic; his 2 grandchildren, Rebecca and Joshua Asby; his
7brother, Kerim Mulasmajic; his 3 sisters-in-law; and his 9
8nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Dzemal Mulasmajic, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Dzemal Mulasmajic as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
