SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter "Butch" Barry of Harvard, who
4passed away on February 18, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Barry was born in Woodstock on February 23,
61950 to Charles and Elizabeth (nee Tracy) Barry; he married
7Doris Nell on October 21, 1967 in Woodstock; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Walter Barry was a member of the Saddlebag Saloon;
9he enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, and music; most of all,
10he enjoyed spending time with his loving family and very dear
11friends; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Walter Barry was proud of his Native American
13heritage; he was a descendant of the Mesquakie Tribe and
14fascinated by Native American culture and lore; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Walter Barry was preceded in death by his parents;
16his son, Bryan Barry; and his 2 sisters, Debbie Boliver and
17Brenda Lumby; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Walter Barry is survived by his wife of 47 years,
19Doris; his 3 daughters, Robin (Richard) Knapik, Lynette
20(Timothy) Ashmore, and Dawn VanHoorn; his 4 grandchildren, Mike

1(Kelly) Knapik, Brittany Knapik, Tayler Barry, and Travis
2Price; his great-grandson, Konner Knapik; his brother, Joseph
3Barry; his 6 sisters, Bonnie Moyer, Patti Bressers, Pam
4Walters, Cindy Swanson, Ella Barry, and Tina Barry; as well as
5many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
8Walter "Butch" Barry, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Walter Barry as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
