SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael "Larry" Klugman of Decatur, who passed away on December 27, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Michael Klugman was born in Champaign to Samuel W. and Edna F. (Logue) Klugman on April 15, 1942; and

WHEREAS, Michael Klugman was a founding faculty member at Richland Community College, where he was Professor Emeritus and an adjunct professor; and

WHEREAS, Michael Klugman served his community in many different service clubs and organizations, including as past President of the Decatur Celebration; he lectured regarding national and local political races as well as his favorite subject, the Titanic; he was a proud member of "The Romeo Club" and enjoyed spending his time with his many friends and associates; and

WHEREAS, Michael Klugman was preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother, Joe Allen Klugman; and his aunt, Lola Farley; and

WHEREAS, Michael Klugman is survived by many cousins; the Steve and Linda Wrigley/Hotwick family; the Dr. Larry and Nancy Osborne family; and the Lance and Ann Lercher family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael "Larry" Klugman, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Klugman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
