SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dorothy Jane Bellm of Carlinville, who
4passed away on December 19, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Bellm was born in Virden to Leonard and
6Sadie (Broderick) Moore on November 2, 1925; she graduated from
7Virden High School and married John J. Bellm in Carlinville on
8September 7, 1957; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dorothy Bellm worked at the Illinois State Capitol
10for 20 years; she was active in politics and met John F.
11Kennedy during his campaign stop in Springfield; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dorothy Bellm was very devoted to her family; she
13was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in
14Carlinville; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dorothy Bellm was preceded in death by her
16parents; her son, Gary Wayne Wrightsman; two sisters; and two
17brothers; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dorothy Bellm is survived by her husband, John;
19her son, Bradley (Mary Beth) Bellm; her daughter, Beth Ann
20(Kelly) Schmidt; and her grandchildren, Conner and Katie

1Schmidt, Jessica Bellm, and Maddison and Alicia Bellm;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Dorothy Jane Bellm, and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Dorothy Bellm as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
