SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gretchen Maxine Gulledge of Maryville,
4who passed away on December 12, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge was born in St. Louis, Missouri
6to George Herman and Louise Marie (Janssen) Johnson on January
725, 1927; she married Lawrence Gulledge in St. Charles,
8Missouri on December 31, 1946; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge was a member of St. Luke's
10United Methodist Church in Maryville, where she served as a
11greeter for 30 years; she was a member of the Maryville Senior
12Citizens; she was avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and
13enjoyed the music of Lawrence Welk; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge was preceded in death by her
15husband, Lawrence; her parents; and her siblings, George
16Johnson Jr., John "Jesse" Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Virginia
17Misuraco, Ruth Amidon, Margaret Johnson, Doris Johnson, and
18Mary Jane Logan; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge is survived by her children,
20Sandra Blair, Larry (Nancy) Gulledge, Karen (Denny) Vollmar,
21and Kenneth (Juli) Gulledge; her grandchildren, Jeremy Blair,

1Steven (Holly) Blair, Matthew (Hope) Gulledge, Daniel
2Gulledge, Bekey (Jamie) Zawada, Sarah (Jeremy) Stone, Jason
3Gulledge, and Robert Gulledge; her great-grandchildren,
4Elizabeth Blair, Gavin Zawada, Payton Zawada, Camden Blair,
5Alexandra Gulledge, Landon Stone, Kennedy Gulledge, Harper
6Stone, Finnegan Blair, Blake Gulledge, Mason Gulledge, and
7Ellanora Stone; and her sisters-in-law, Cora Jane Dillick,
8Maydell Bryant, Gerri Meyer, and Janet Johnson; therefore, be
9it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Gretchen Maxine Gulledge, and extend our sincere condolences to
13her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Gretchen Gulledge as an expression
17of our deepest sympathy.
