SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Terry J. Hannig of Saddlebrook, Arizona,
4formerly of Springfield, who passed away on November 17, 2016;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Terry Hannig was born in Litchfield to Louis and
7Lawanda (Rash) Hannig on October 25, 1954; he graduated from
8Mt. Olive High School in 1972 and attended the University of
9Illinois; he married Kathi J. Minton at S.S. Simon and Jude
10Church in Gillespie on October 1, 1977; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Terry Hannig began working with his father in the
12insurance and commodities business; he then spent 26 years
13serving the State of Illinois as Chief Bill Clerk for the House
14of Representatives and as the Personnel Liaison for the
15Administrative Hearings Department with the Secretary of
16State; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Terry Hannig loved to debate and had a spirit for
18politics; he was passionate about sports, both real and
19fantasy, history, and cars; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Terry Hannig was preceded in death by his father,
21Louis, and his mother-in-law, Sophie Minton; and

1    WHEREAS, Terry Hannig is survived by his wife, Kathi; his
2mother, Lawanda; his brothers, former Illinois State
3Representative Gary (Betsy), Randy, Greg, and Louie (Julie);
4his sisters-in-law, Darlene Walden, and Marilyn (Mike)
5Viehweg; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Terry J. Hannig, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Terry Hannig as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
