SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald J. Kozlowski of Bolingbrook, who passed away on November 28, 2016, at the age of 83; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski was born to Aloysius and Francis and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he graduated from Marquette University in 1955 and married Barbara A. Stanioch on June 18, 1960; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski and his wife lived in Santa Barbara, California; West Allis, Wisconsin; McRae, Georgia; and Cicero before settling in Bolingbrook, where they raised their six children; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski was an accountant by profession; he was employed by Sunbeam, Joanna Western Mills, and Loyola University, from where he retired in 1993; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski and his wife have been active members of St. Dominic Catholic Parish in Bolingbrook for 47 years; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski was an avid joke teller; he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and studying menus in order to create the perfect meal; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; his children, Mari (Gary) Kmieciak, Linda (Greg) Bevolo, Anne Murray, Daniel (Stacie) Kozlowski, Elizabeth (John) Rice, and Steven (Kristin) Kozlowski; his grandchildren, Lauren (Brian) Beaird, Nicole Kmieciak, Keeley Kmieciak, Lia Kmieciak, Brent Bevolo, Torrie (Nick) Masters, Peter (Samantha) Murray, Nick Murray, Ryan Murray, Emma (Max) Warren, Mitch Murray, Maribeth Murray, Melaura Rice, Eric Rice, Aaron Rice, Ella Kozlowski, Jack Kozlowski, Helen Kozlowski, Warren Kozlowski, and Edison Kozlowski; his great-grandchild, Amelia Murray; his brothers, Jim (Pattie) Kozlowski, and Michael (Carol) Kozlowski; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Pete) Geffers; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Kris, Karin, Michelle, Kathy, Jeff, Scott, Mike, Jill, Jennifer, Susan, and Sarah, along with their spouses and children; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald J. Kozlowski, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Kozlowski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
