SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Peggy J. Salmon of Springfield, who passed away on November 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Peggy Salmon was born in Pittsfield to Russell and Shirley Atkinson Dotson on May 30, 1951; she married Robert Clinton Salmon in Springfield on June 16, 1967; and

WHEREAS, Peggy Salmon was a St. Louis Cardinals fan who enjoyed crocheting; she loved her dog, Ginger but most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Peggy Salmon was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Chelsy Salmon, and her sister Diane Harris; and

WHEREAS, Peggy Salmon is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Barb (Tina Allen) Salmon and Robert (Jennifer) Salmon; her four grandchildren, Tabitha (Mike) Calvert, Krystal Salmon, PJ Salmon, and Robert Salmon III; her brother Bud Brooks; and her special nephew, Eddie (Michelle) Brooks; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Peggy J. Salmon, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peggy Salmon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
