SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia Ann (Kellher) Gullo, who passed away on November 8, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Gullo was born in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood on May 28, 1930; she graduated from Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart and attended Wright Junior College; she met her husband Joseph S. Gullo in 1954 and they raised their seven children in Oak Park; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Gullo worked at Max Factor before raising her family; she re-entered the workforce when her youngest child was in high school; she retired in 1979; she and her husband moved to Elmwood Park in 1984; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Gullo was affectionately known as "Pat" or "Patsy"; she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to Italy, Ireland, Panama, and elder hostels all over the United States; she eventually moved to Brookdale Senior Living in Oak Park, where she enjoyed good times with friends; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Gullo was a member of the Women's Club at St. Edmund Church; she sang with Aeolian Choice and was a Red Hat Lady for over 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Gullo is survived by her children, Ellyn, Karen, Susan (Tim), David (Cindy), Jacquelyn (Joseph), Gregory (Helen), and Douglas (Kim); 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Patricia Ann Gullo, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Gullo as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
