SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas A. Fosnot, who passed away on October 6, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was born on April 27, 1940; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was a longtime salesman for York Furrier, where he also served as CFO and Chairman of the Board of Directors for 41 years; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot had the "most fabulous corkscrew golf swing in the history of man"; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a lifelong Democrat; he was a true New Deal Democrat; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was husband to Barbara Fosnot; father to Michael, Carol, and Thomas Fosnot; and grandfather to five; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas A. Fosnot, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Fosnot as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
