SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jimmie Dale Spencer of Dorchester, who passed away on November 18, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Marvin and Beulah (Huskey) Spencer on October 7, 1950; he married Sandra Adams in Kansas City on December 31, 1973; and

WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer was the owner and operator of Spencer Trucking and Farms in Dorchester; and

WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles, trucks, the outdoors, especially snowmobiles, four wheelers, and boats; and

WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Edmund Peter Thimsen; and

WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer is survived by his wife, Sandy; his children, Jennifer (Luther) Thimsen, and Jimmie Spencer Jr.; his stepchildren, Kelley (Alan) Young, and Kristy (Charles) Swearingen; his grandchildren, Marcus Young, Ashley Young, Joseph Foiles, Gavin Thimsen, Grason Thimsen, Jacob Spencer, and Alex Swearingen; his siblings, Gloria (Phillip) Johnson, Bill (Gayle) Rust, and Cheryl Hoff; and his uncle, Otis Spencer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jimmie Dale Spencer, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jimmie Spencer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
