SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph Paul Haar, Sr. of Alton, who passed away on November 9, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Haar, Sr. proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Haar, Sr. was a member of the Local 90 Cement Masons and St. Patrick and St. Ambrose Churches; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Haar, Sr. loved his God, his family, and his garden; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Haar, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents and his sister; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Haar, Sr. is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille; his children and their spouses, Joe, JoAnne (Vernon) Curvey, Michael (Sarah), Derek (Dee), and Louise Haar-Chapman (Jason); his grandchildren, Rachel, Joshua, Haley, Joseph, Kalyn, Emily, Michael D., Matthew, Samantha, Claudia, and Atticus; one great grandchild on the way; his uncle, Charles Young; and his aunt, Shirley Haar; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph Paul Haar, Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Haar, Sr. as an expression of our sympathy.
