SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond Yager Jr. of Colona, who passed away on November 7, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Yager Jr. was born in Hannibal, Missouri to Raymond and Clarissa Hagan Yager on December 1, 1942; he married Connie Britton in Colona on September 11, 1971 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Yager Jr. retired from Alcoa after 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Yager Jr. was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Yager Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Yager Jr. is survived by his wife, Connie; his daughter, Chris (Rory) Dennison; his son, Scott (Lori) Yager; his grandchildren, Tanika (Shawn) Arnold, Lorielle Dennison, Daphne Clark, Skylar Backoff, Onika Brown, Fiona Brown, and Willow Yager; his great-grandchildren, Aaron Arnold, Kaylee Arnold, Kayli Bird, Trenton Arnold, Evayla Arnold, and Pheobe Young; his extended family in Monroe City, Missouri; and many close sisters and brothers-in-law; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Raymond Yager Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Yager Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
