SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Madeleine V. "Maddy" Hickey, who passed away on September 9, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Madeleine Hickey was born on December 13, 1985 in New York, New York; and

WHEREAS, Madeleine Hickey was a graduate of Niles North High School, Class of 2004, where she was active in theatre and vocal jazz; she subsequently studied theatre at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and

WHEREAS, Madeleine Hickey worked professionally as a nurse for the past 3 years; she was known as a devoted nurse who took care of the sick, as well as a wonderful singer and talented actor; and

WHEREAS, Madeleine Hickey is survived by her children, Bobby, Jack, and Joe Tansey; her parents, Torry and Jack Hickey; and her brother, John Hickey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Madeleine V. "Maddy" Hickey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Madeleine Hickey as an expression of our sympathy.
