SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Maryruth Ginn of Peoria, who passed away on March 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Maryruth Ginn was born on February 1, 1933 in Lewistown, Missouri; her parents were James A. and Ona E. (nee Epperson) Adams; she was formerly married to Ralph Ginn; and

WHEREAS, Maryruth Ginn served as an art teacher at Bolin School and Central Junior High School in East Peoria, Illinois Central College, Bradley University, and, most recently, at Midstate College; and

WHEREAS, Maryruth Ginn was devoted to her dogs, Lala and Safera, and the many students she had over her 54-year career; she loved creating art and spending time with her artistic friends; and

WHEREAS, Maryruth Ginn is survived by 2 daughters, Allison (Scott) Goodyear and Amy Ginn (Tom) Westwater; 4 grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Goodyear and Ry and Peter Westwater; and a sister, Ann (George) Lamb; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Maryruth Ginn; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Maryruth Ginn as an expression of our sympathy.
