| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald J. VanNatta of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on October 23, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta was born on June 23, 1947 in Sioux | 6 | | City, Iowa; his parents were Dale Sauer and Betty VanNatta; he | 7 | | married Carol Brown Clevenger on April 10, 1993 in Moline; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta served in the United States Army | 9 | | from 1966 to 1968, serving mostly in Korea; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta worked at John Deere Harvester for | 11 | | 30 years until his retirement in 2000; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta and his wife were members of the | 13 | | River City Riders Gold Wing motorcycle group and enjoyed many | 14 | | cross-country trips with their friends; he enjoyed Bible study | 15 | | in the Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, Calvary Chapel of | 16 | | Coolidge, Arizona, and Christ Community Church of Sun City, | 17 | | Arizona; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents and his daughter, Jana VanNatta; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ronald VanNatta is survived by his wife, Carol; | 2 | | his children, Michelle (Michael) Trapani, David (Anne | 3 | | Linnihan) Clevenger, and Douglas (Jenine) Clevenger; his | 4 | | grandchildren, Emma and Nicholas Trapani, Alec (Melissa) | 5 | | Abkemeier, Lauren Clevenger, and Charles Clevenger; his | 6 | | brothers, Terry VanNatta and Tim (Pat) Sauer; his | 7 | | sisters-in-law, Debbie (Russ) Jackson and Nikki Brown; his | 8 | | nephews and nieces, Darren Sauer, Bryce and Chase Jackson, Toby | 9 | | Brown, Tasha Weimer, Cindy Yount, Connie Killian, Christine | 10 | | DaVault, and Cathy Stroder; his uncle, Jack (Janis) Terrill; | 11 | | and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Ronald J. VanNatta; | 15 | | and be it further
