SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of St. Louis County Police Officer Blake
4Snyder, who passed away on October 6, 2016, at the age of 33;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Officer Snyder was a four-year veteran of the St.
7Louis County Police Department; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Officer Snyder was a freelance graphic designer
9before becoming a police officer; he also served on the board
10of directors at Riverbend Family Ministries; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Officer Snyder was the beloved husband of
12Elizabeth Joy Snyder (Sparks); the dear father of Malachi
13Snyder; the dear son of Richard and Peggy (Lillard) Snyder; the
14dear brother of Adam (Sara) Snyder; the dear half-brother of
15Scott (Becky) Harrold; the dear grandson of Harold and Mildred
16Snyder, and Morris and Fern Lillard; the dear uncle of Nolan,
17Korby, and Colton Snyder, Griffin and Anna Harrold, William,
18Henry, Samson, and Justice Sparks, Kaitlin, Grace, Ava, and
19Juliet Hoerle, and Samuel, Noah, and Vivienne Skirball; the
20dear nephew of Mike and Brenda Kelley, Paul and Sharon Lillard,
21Louise Snyder, Norma Edlund, Richard and Anette White,
22Stephanie Sikorsk, the late Brent Lillard, William Snyder, and

1Betty Martin; the dear son-in-law of Kathleen (Jef) Lesnoff and
2the late Michael Sparks; the dear brother-in-law of Justin and
3Mandy Sparks, Shannon and Chad Hoerle, Hannah and Richard
4Skirball, and Micaela Sparks; and the dear grandson-in-law of
5Jackie and the late Henry Fleischer and Jackie and the late
6Donald Sparks; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9St. Louis County Police Officer Blake Snyder, and extend our
10sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
11and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Officer Snyder as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
