SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rita Catherine Beadling, who passed away on September 1, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Rita Beadling was born on February 24, 1921; her parents were Joseph and Elizabeth Rivelli; she married Harry H. Beadling on November 29, 1945, in San Diego, California; and

WHEREAS, Rita Beadling worked as the Retail Buyer for children's apparel at the Globe Store, where she worked from 1967 until her retirement in 1987; and

WHEREAS, Rita Beadling was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bulls, and Bears fan and liked to pass the time watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune; she also enjoyed using her smartphone, tablet, and laptop and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Rita Beadling was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her siblings, Dennis, Joe, Betty, Patsy, and Claire; and

WHEREAS, Rita Beadling is survived by her children, Charlotte, Hal, Tommy, and Harriet (Tim); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers Jimmy, Jackie, Tommy, and Billy; and her sister, Chi Chi; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Rita Catherine Beadling; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rita Beadling as an expression of our sympathy.
