| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 | | learn of the death of Gerald R. "Jerry" Ross of Gillespie, who | | 4 | | passed away on September 7, 2016; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Ross was born on February 24, 1928 in | | 6 | | Carlinville; his parents were Theodore Ross and Colette | | 7 | | McChesney Ross; he married Nancy Jeanne Ross on May 12, 1950 in | | 8 | | Gillespie; and
| | 9 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Ross served in the United States Navy from | | 10 | | 1946 to 1948; and
| | 11 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Ross retired after serving as a lab | | 12 | | technician for Shell Oil for many years; and
| | 13 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Ross was preceded in death by his parents; | | 14 | | his wife, Nancy; his brother, Theodore "Bud" Ross; and his | | 15 | | sister, Colette Kretsinger; and
| | 16 | | WHEREAS, Gerald Ross is survived by his children, Jerry R. | | 17 | | (Kimberly) Ross, Jeffrey M. (Lee) Ross, and Jay T.
