SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Wayne L. Webb of McHenry, who passed away on August 11, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Webb was born in Elmira, New York to Ruth and Harry Webb on February 26, 1936; he earned a baseball scholarship to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, graduating in 1958; he received a master's degree in administration from Northern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Webb taught multiple subjects for 36 years in Elgin School District U-46; he started the Building Trades program and influenced countless individuals through his passion for teaching and his love of coaching basketball and football; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Webb considered himself a very fortunate man, marrying the love of his life, teaching in the public schools, coaching, traveling the world, and building 30 residential homes, mostly in the Elgin area; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Webb is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia A. Webb; his children, Christi Pleasant, Kurt (Arlyn) Webb, and Terry (Shay) Brill; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Wayne L. Webb, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wayne Webb as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
