SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth A. Pedersen of Wonder Lake, who passed away on August 14, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen was born in Chicago to Chris A. and Mildred M. (Helland) Pedersen on June 7, 1940; he married Arlene M. Brockman at Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago and they settled in Palatine; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen worked as a sheet metal worker for Union Local 73 for over 50 years; he retired in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen and his wife bought a summer house in Wonder Lake in 1989; in 1999, they decided to make it their permanent residence; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen was a member of the Wonder Lake Sportsman's Club; he was on the Board of Directors for the Wonder Lake M.P.O.A.; he enjoyed hunting and fishing; he loved to be around his family and enjoyed taking family and friends out on his boat; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Robert; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen is survived by his wife, Arlene; his children, Rita (Joe) Gross, Renee (Rick) Marek, Charles "Chuck" (Darlene) Pedersen, and Dawn (Mike) Slone; his grandchildren, Brian, Lindsey (Jeff), Skye (Matt), Casey, Tiffany, Amy, Ryan, Cody, Dakota, and Brianna; his great-grandchildren; his sisters, Janet (Arnie) Rutkowski and Marilyn Ostovits; and his brothers, Richard (Mary) Pedersen and Gary (Mary Ellen) Pedersen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kenneth A. Pedersen, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Pedersen as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
