SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel Arthur Gallagher, who passed away at the age of 72; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Gallagher retired from the Chicago Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Gallagher was a proud supporter of the Weber Alumni Association and Notre Dame College Prep; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Gallagher was the beloved husband of Donna (Dexl); the devoted father of Colleen (James) Chipman, Patrick CFD (Amy), Michael CPD (Emily), Shannon, Daniel Jr. CPD, James CPD, and Matthew CPD (Erin); the loving grandfather of Jack, Emmett, Emma, Ryan, Matthew, Dillon, and Danny; the dear brother of James M.D. (Dorothy); and the dear brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Daniel Arthur Gallagher, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel Gallagher as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
