SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Darrell Dean Beazly of Mansfield, who
4passed away on July 22, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was born on September 12, 1937 in
6Champaign; his parents were Percy Webb Beazly and Eleanor
7Randel Beazly; he married Carol Elaine Trimble on January 1,
81959 in Mansfield; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly taught food inspection for the
10United States Army in the Meat and Dairy Hygiene School in
11Chicago; after three years in the Army, he farmed near
12Mansfield from 1963 until his passing; he and his family also
13operated a Radio Shack franchise store in Monticello for 18
14years and a True Value Hardware since 1991; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was a graduate of the University of
16Illinois College of Agriculture; an early adopter of new
17technologies in agriculture, he enjoyed a challenge and became
18interested in computers in the late 1970s; he taught the first
19agriculture computing classes at Parkland Community College in
20the early 1980s; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was a life member of the Mansfield

1United Methodist Church; he was a 4-H leader with the Piatt
2County 4-H and Agriculture Extension Councils for many years;
3he was also active in the Monticello Rotary Club; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly enjoyed traveling in the United
5States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was preceded in death by his
7parents and his brothers, George Beazly and James Beazly; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly is survived by his wife, Carol; his
9sons, Randel (Simone) Beazly and Bruce Beazly; his grandsons,
10Geoffry and Simon; his sister, Mary Louis Koch; his
11sisters-in-law, Faye Beazly and Evelyn Beazly; and many nieces
12and nephews, including Timothy Whitney; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Darrell Dean Beazly;
16and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Darrell Beazly as an expression of
19our sympathy.
