SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara K. Ryan of Des Plaines, who passed away on July 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Ryan was born in Chicago on April 9, 1948; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Ryan was the Director of the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce for the last 10 years; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Ryan was the beloved wife of Richard Ryan; the dear mother of Beth Ann (Matthew) Lunow, Jeffrey (Stacy) Ryan, and Colleen (James) Shilling; the loving grandmother of Luke, William, Conor, Emma, Grace, Lily, Caleigh, and Claire; the fond sister of Joanne (Verlyn) Scheckel, Sister Angele Lutgen (Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary), Carolyn Lutgen, Patricia (James) Ninko, and John (Kathleen) Lutgen; and the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and devoted friend to many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Barbara K. Ryan, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara Ryan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
