SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John G. Lovelace of North Chicago, who passed away on June 16, 2016; and

WHEREAS, John Lovelace was born on January 16, 1927 in Florence, Alabama; and

WHEREAS, John Lovelace served his country in the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, John Lovelace retired from the United States Steel Waukegan Works after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, John Lovelace was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Lovelace; and

WHEREAS, John Lovelace is survived by his sons, John (Sylvia) Lovelace, Jr. and Clarence (Candy) Luster; his daughter, Joyce Green; eight grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of John G. Lovelace; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Lovelace as an expression of our sympathy.
