SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vanessa Davis Coleman of Waukegan, who passed away on June 22, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman was born in Chicago to William and Virginia Davis on October 16, 1959; she graduated from North Chicago High School in 1979; and

WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman was employed by the Waukegan School District for many years; and

WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Andre Bradshaw Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman is survived by her husband, David Coleman Jr.; her son, Kevin Bradshaw Jr.; her stepdaughter, Nigel Robinson; her grandsons, Andre Bradshaw Jr. and Phalair Carter; her granddaughter, Nurye Carter; her brother, Virgil Davis; her stepson, Timothy Smith; her first husband, Kevin Bradshaw Sr.; her special lifelong friends, Debra Bradshaw and Cynthia Ross; and many other relatives and loved ones; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Vanessa Davis Coleman, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vanessa Coleman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
