SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann M. Rintoul of Godfrey, who passed away on July 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Ann Rintoul was born on August 10, 1934 in Alton; her parents were William and Grace Linkogle; and

WHEREAS, Ann Rintoul attended East Alton schools and graduated from East Alton-Wood River Community High School in 1952; and

WHEREAS, Ann Rintoul started her working years at Illinois State Bank of East Alton, where she was locked in the bank vault and was subsequently a part of a New York City game show about the episode; she also worked with her sister Jane at Associates Finance; she was also employed with the East Alton Recreation Department and Ray Gremli Chevrolet before retiring from the Louisiana Dock Barge Company as the Executive Secretary to the General Manager; and

WHEREAS, Ann Rintoul was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and seldom missed a game; she also loved dining at the Cracker Barrel and spending time with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Ann Rintoul was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Rintoul; her sister, Doris (Moore) Norris; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Majovsky; and

WHEREAS, Ann Rintoul is survived by her sister, Jane Majovsky; her son, John Hill; her granddaughters, Amanda (Jared) Johnson and Brooke Hill; her great-granddaughter, Brianna Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Ann M. Rintoul; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Rintoul as an expression of our sympathy.
