| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Carole Ann Taylor of Rosewood Heights, | 4 | | who passed away on June 25, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Carole Taylor was born in Decatur to Ross and Edna | 6 | | (Yocom) Brown on October 19, 1934; she graduated from | 7 | | Stonington High School in 1953; she married Norman Eugene | 8 | | Taylor on July 15, 1956 and they moved to Rosewood Heights in | 9 | | 1963; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Carole Taylor was a dedicated member of St. Paul | 11 | | United Methodist Church for 53 years; she served in many | 12 | | volunteer capacities, most recently as the Chair of the | 13 | | Memorials Committee; she was actively involved in the Alton | 14 | | Christan Woman's Club and served as the Chairperson of the | 15 | | local chapter of Stonecroft Ministries; she was a member of the | 16 | | Illinois State Medical Society Alliance for 56 years and served | 17 | | on its board for 25 years; she served four terms as the | 18 | | President of the Madison County Medical Alliance; she was a | 19 | | Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a secretary of | 20 | | Job Daughters-Bethel 88; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Carole Taylor hosted visiting missionaries and | 22 | | speakers, Bible study groups, Rotary Club holiday parties, and |

| 1 | | the occasional fish fry; she loved to entertain guests and her | 2 | | dining room hosted many family dinners and gatherings; she | 3 | | supported her grandchildren in sports and other pursuits; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Carole Taylor was preceded in death by her husband | 5 | | of nearly 40 years, Norman; her parents; and her in-laws, | 6 | | Charles and Virginia Taylor; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Carole Taylor is survived by her children, Jill | 8 | | (William) Sullivan, Judy (Steve) Woods, Jim (Karen) Taylor, and | 9 | | Jennifer (Robert) Fix; her granddaughters, Mallory (Matt) | 10 | | Sidarous, Vanessa (Steven) Paradee, Katelyn (Nick) Profancik, | 11 | | Erin Woods, and Juliana Sullivan; her step-grandchildren, | 12 | | Angela Fix and Jill (Tim) Sucha; her great-grandchildren, Isaac | 13 | | and Leah Sidarous, and Elaina and Taylor Paradee; her | 14 | | step-great-grandson, Matthew Fix; her brother, Gary (Carol) | 15 | | Brown; her sister-in-law, Jeannie (Roy) Klay; her nieces, | 16 | | Cheryl Walsh and Diane Reid; her nephews, Kris Klay, Doug | 17 | | Brown, and Gary Ross Brown; and many great nieces and nephews; | 18 | | therefore, be it
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 20 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 21 | | Carole Ann Taylor, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 22 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 23 | | further
