SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth A. Kinder of Bethalto, who passed away on June 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kinder was born in Golden Eagle to Albert and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Baalman) Kinder on April 2, 1927; he married Audrey Miller in Kampsville on August 14, 1951; he served his country in the Merchant Marine and the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kinder was a laborer for Local 218 of Alton for 42 years, where he also served as Secretary Treasurer; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kinder was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kinder was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; his parents; and his brother, Harold (Buss) Kinder; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Kinder is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Gaylene (Gillson) Kinder; his grandchildren and their spouses, Kyle and Kathryn Kinder, Erica and Kris Petree, and Lindsay and Chris Loftus; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Gracyn, Boyd, Blythe, Christopher, and Tanin; his siblings, Geraldine "Geri" Miller and Norma Kendall; his half-sister, Helen Kinder Land; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kenneth A. Kinder, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Kinder as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
