SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy Jeanne Ross of Gillespie, who passed away on June 11, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Ross was born in Gillespie to Thomas and Florence (Shuey) Dickinson on May 27, 1931; she graduated from Gillespie High School and married Gerald R. Ross in Gillespie on May 12, 1950; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Ross was a homemaker; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Ross was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Thomas Dickinson; and her sisters, Zola Bereyso, Flora Bertagnolli, and June Ebert; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Ross is survived by her husband, Gerald; her sons, Jerry R. (Kimberly) Ross, Jeffrey M. (Lee) Ross, and Jay T. Ross (Ann Marie Bauer); her grandchildren, Eric (Jen) Ross, Chad (Lisa) Ross, Shelby Ross, Jeremy Ross, Joshua (Amanda) Ross, Jessica Ross, and Gary Thomas Bauer Ross; and her nine great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Nancy Jeanne Ross, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Ross as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
