SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ned H. Wuellner of Brighton, who passed away on February 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was born in Alton on June 30, 1927 to Henry A. and Ann (nee Snyder) Wuellner; he graduated from Northwestern University with a master's degree in mechanical engineering; he married Rosemary Rowe on July 15, 1953 in Muskegon, Michigan; and

WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was a sheet metal contractor and owned Canham Sheet Metal for 35 years, retiring in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he held a 4th Degree; he was also a member of the Triangle Fraternity and Sigma Xi; he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was preceded in death by his parents and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, Guy S., Bert J., Roy J. and Betty, and James A. and Dorothy Wuellner; and

WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his 8 children and their spouses, Ann and John Venardos, Franz and Debbie Wuellner, Rolf and Michele Wuellner, Leah and Matt Ursch, Sara and Dennis Moore, Ruth and Marty Frey, Hope and Dan Brooks, and Jed and Rachelle Wuellner; his brother, Mark A. and Marjorie Wuellner; his 2 sisters-in-law, Elise Wuellner and Dorothy Wuellner; his 16 grandchildren, Peter and Alex Venardos, Blaze and Mallory Wuellner, Justin and Josh Traff, Austen Wuellner, Taylor, Hannah, and Morgan Moore, Abraham and Chloe Frey, Derek and Audrey Brooks, and Tristan and Nathaniel Wuellner; and his 2 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ned H. Wuellner, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ned Wuellner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
