SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sheldon Ross of East Moline, who passed away on May 29, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross was born on October 2, 1932 in Moline; his parents were Everett and Esther Anderson Ross; he married Margurite "Marge" Hinrichsen on December 27, 1952 in Rock Island; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross was employed by Eagle Signal for 29 years and the Rock Island Arsenal for five years before retiring in 1990; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross and his wife traveled extensively and enjoyed square dancing, playing bridge, and spending winters in southern Texas for 21 years; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross is survived by his wife, Margurite; his children, David and Pam Ross and Cathy and Chip Lee; his grandchildren, Mike (Kayla) Ross, Kyle Ross, Hannah Lee, and Mat Lee; his sister, Nancy Polios; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Sheldon Ross; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sheldon Ross as an expression of our sympathy.
