SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bruce A. Schurman of Wheaton, who passed away on January 13, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was a graduate of Hope College, Western Michigan University, and the University of Iowa; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman retired as President and CEO of Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in 1998; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was an active member of the Wheaton Lions Club and Hope Presbyterian Church; he was also a Trustee Emeritus for the Conservation Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Bertha Schurman, and 2 siblings, Bea (Bruce) Hemple and Herbert (Betty) Schurman; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was the beloved husband of JoAnn (nee Olson) Schurman; the loving father of Brian James Schurman; and the loving grandfather of one grandson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Bruce A. Schurman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bruce Schurman as an expression of our sympathy.
