SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charlotte Marie Meyers of Alton, who passed away on May 29, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers was born in Alton to William A. and Stella (Haywood) Vohs on December 28, 1922; and

WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers worked at Olin Corp. as an inspector for 45 years, retiring in 1986; and

WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers was a member of the 12th Street Presbyterian Church in Alton; she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William "Bill" Vohs; and

WHEREAS, Charlotte Meyers is survived by her children, Albert (Debbie) Meyers, Estelle Vinyard, Marilyn Brumley, and Thomas Meyers; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charlotte Marie Meyers, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charlotte Meyers as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
