SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John "Jack" Russell Whitney of Woodstock, who passed away on May 12, 2016; and

WHEREAS, John Whitney will be fondly remembered as a decorated Army officer, a highly awarded architect, a successful financial advisor, a gifted orator, and a truly exemplary husband, father, and grandfather; and

WHEREAS, John Whitney was the beloved husband of Ann Rosenbaum; the beloved father of Ian, Loren, and Andrew Whitney; and the beloved grandfather of Aidan, Evan, Oliver, Taylor, and Schmoo; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of John "Jack" Russell Whitney; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Whitney as an expression of our sympathy.
