SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry Dean Byrd of Pekin, who passed away
4on May 23, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Byrd was born in Peoria to Percy and Pearl
6Plotner Byrd on November 13, 1944; he married Penny Ann Ziemer
7in Creve Coeur on August 31, 1969; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Larry Byrd worked at Caterpiller Inc., for the
9City of Pekin as a garbage man, for Morton High School as a
10custodian, and later at Hanna Steel in Pekin; he owned and
11operated B & B Home Improvements; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Larry Byrd enjoyed bowling, going mushrooming,
13working outdoors, and his animals; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Larry Byrd was preceded in death by his parents;
15his brother, Robert Byrd; and his sisters, Ruth Scott and Norma
16Baxter; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Larry Byrd is survived by his wife, Penny; his
18children, Tammy (Rick) Hyatt, Larry (Jenny) Byrd, Doreen (Tim)
19Mussleman, Jill (Al) Moore, and Mike Belville; 17
20grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Terry

1(Barb) Byrd; and his sisters, Doris (Chuck) Fredrick, Delores
2Byrd, Donna (Jay) Williamson, and Barb (John) Crumb, and Lois
3Leal; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Larry Dean Byrd, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Larry Byrd as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
