SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Georgia May Robinson of Fort Myers, Florida and Lincolnshire, who passed away on May 3, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was born September 6, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan; her parents were George and Lena Levin; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Elmhurst College and a Master of Science in education from the National College of Education; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was employed as a laboratory scientist at Armour Pharmaceuticals; she then worked as a preschool teacher and a Student Teacher Supervisor at National College of Education; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was a member of Congregation Am Echod; she was also a former President of the American Association of University Women Nursery School and the School Chairman at Am Echod School; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was an accomplished artist and loved to teach mahjong and quilling to her many friends; she was a member of the Lexington Art Guild and the Deerpath Art Guild; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George Levin; and her sisters, Mildred Levin and Elinor Levin; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Robinson; her sons, Aron and Steve Robinson; her daughter-in-law, Mary Robinson; her grandchildren, Michael, Danny, and Amy; her sister, Mardell Matthews; her sisters-in-law, Lili and Sylvia; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Georgia May Robinson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Georgia Robinson as an expression of our sympathy.
