SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Fred Borron Lindsey, who passed away on March 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lindsey was born in Alabama on July 6, 1924; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lindsey served during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart; he was thrilled to take the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lindsey was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Doucette); his grandson, Keith Cox; his brothers, Alfred, Ellis, and Hugh; and his sister, June (Lindsey) Reeves; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lindsey is survived by his 5 children, Linda (Lindsey) Self, Fred Lindsey, Pam (Ken) Cox, Dave (Nancy) Lindsey, and Bob Lindsey; his 7 grandchildren; and his 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Fred Borron Lindsey, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Lindsey as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
