SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eva H. Sawyer of Hillside, who passed away on April 4, 2016 at the age of 98; and

WHEREAS, Eva Sawyer was involved in flower shops for Mt. Carmel and Queen of Heaven Cemeteries; she was also the 5th District Chaplin for the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Hillside and Eisenhower Senior Citizens Clubs for many years; and

WHEREAS, Eva Sawyer was the beloved wife of the late Harry F. "Junior" Sawyer, Sr.; the loving mother of Lucille (the late Gerald) Johnson and Harry F. (Diane) Sawyer, Jr.; the devoted grandmother of seven; the great-grandmother of 13; and the great-great-grandmother of one; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Eva H. Sawyer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eva Sawyer as an expression of our sympathy.
