SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara O. Parks, who passed away on January 11, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Parks was born in Chicago and was a resident of Joliet for 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Parks was a member of Sacred Heart Church; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Parks was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Parks is survived by 5 sisters, Elizabeth Franklin, Salye Marshall, Geraldine Washington, Irene Foster, and Pat Shannon; a special niece, Marilyn Dixon; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Barbara O. Parks; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara Parks as an expression of our sympathy.
