SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Harold Burney "Billie" Rigdon of Hartford, who passed away on April 11, 2016; and

WHEREAS, William Rigdon was born in Alton to Charshel and Jean Rigdon on April 12, 1972; and

WHEREAS, William Rigdon attended The William M. BeDell Achievement and Resource Center in Wood River; and

WHEREAS, William Rigdon enjoyed fishing, swimming, dancing, boating, listening to the radio, and taking car rides; he loved being with his family, always laughing and sharing his smile and never knew a stranger; and

WHEREAS, William Rigdon is survived by his parents; his brother, John Thomas "John Boy" Burney Rigdon; his two sisters, Gina Lewis and husband, Ben, and Diana Rigdon and fiancé, William Spencer; his two nieces, Leah Thompson and husband, Thomas, and Amber Stewart and fiancé, Chad Hancock; many great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William Harold Burney "Billie" Rigdon, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Rigdon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
