SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Zachary Scott Hunter, who passed away on April 17, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter was born on August 31, 1999 in Alton; his parents were Scott Henry and Sara Michelle Hunter; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter attended St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Schools in Jerseyville and was a junior at Marquette Catholic High School in Alton at the time of his passing; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter was a devoted Catholic who attended Catholic schools from start to finish and faithfully attended Mass every Sunday; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter was blessed with athletic ability and was an avid hockey, tennis, and soccer player, participating on numerous teams, and was known for his great hand/eye coordination and great intelligence on the field; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter was his dad's best friend; they did everything together, from playing pool, soccer, hockey, wrestling, watching movies, working on cars, and sharing family memories at the dinner table; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elmer A. and Doris J. Hunter, and his great-grandparents, Charles A. Groves and Henry H. and Josephine F. Bimes; and

WHEREAS, Zachary Hunter is survived by his parents; his sisters, Aubrey Faith Hunter and Sophie Eileen Hunter; his grandparents, William Louis, Jr. and Sue Finkes; his great-grandparents, William Finkes, Sr., Julia Finkes, and Dorothy Groves; and his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Zachary Scott Hunter; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Zachary Hunter as an expression of our sympathy.
