SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Flora E. Faraci of Champaign, who passed away on April 6, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Flora Faraci was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Leo and Tillie (Hauptman) Lefkowitz on January 11, 1939; she married Piero Faraci in Miami Beach, Florida on February 15, 1959; and

WHEREAS, Flora Faraci owned and operated the Jane Addams Book Shop in downtown Champaign from 1984 to 2009 while her husband was operating The Great Impasta just around the corner from her shop; and

WHEREAS, Flora Faraci was preceded in death by her husband, Piero; and

WHEREAS, Flora Faraci is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Faraci Zachwieja; her son, Paul (Stephanie) Faraci; her three granddaughters, Nicole Zachwieja, Becca Zachwieja, and Ellie Faraci; her two sisters, Deena Seigel and Beth (Andy) Isaacs; and her two nieces, Lauren and Jessica; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Flora E. Faraci, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Flora Faraci as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
