SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eugene C. Andrus of Rock Island, who passed away on March 18, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus was born on November 12, 1936 in Cresco; his parents were Glenn and Mary Reynolds Andrus; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus was a veteran of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus worked as a truck driver for Midwest Carrier Transport for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2005; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus was a member of the Watch Hill Towers Social Club and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus is survived by his sons, Robert Andrus, Richard Andrus, Eugene T. Andrus, Raymond Andrus, and Wayne Andrus; his 26 grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Henry Andrus, Gerry Andrus, and LaVonne Roethler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugene C. Andrus; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eugene Andrus as an expression of our sympathy.
