SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty Dolores Allred of Alton, who passed away on March 8, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Betty Allred was born in Alton to Edward Louis and Helen (Foval) Leady on May 16, 1927; she married Donald B. Allred at St. Patrick Church in Alton on June 18, 1949; and

WHEREAS, Betty Allred was a homemaker; and

WHEREAS, Betty Allred was a member of St. Patrick Parish and then St. Ambrose Parish; she was a member of the Mothers Club at St. Patrick; she enjoyed watching birds outside her window and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Betty Allred was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Betty Allred is survived by her three children, Donna (Bob) Konneker, Bruce (Ann) Allred, and Joseph (Carolyn) Allred; her five grandchildren, Emily Allred, Andrea Allred, Joseph Konneker, Jesse Konneker, and Brent Allred; and her two great-grandchildren, Marleigh Konneker and Michael Allred; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Betty Dolores Allred, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Allred as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
