SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eleanor J. Opdenaker of McHenry, who passed away on February 26, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Opdenaker was born in Lenni, Pennsylvania to Harry, Sr. and Elizabeth (McQuade) Opdenaker on February 24, 1932; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Opdenaker worked as an elder care professional for many years in the McHenry area; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Opdenaker was an avid reader, as well as an enthusiast of music, poetry, dance, theater, Tavis Smiley, and Charlie Rose; her large and extended family was her greatest joy in life; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Opdenaker was preceded in death by her parents and her ten siblings; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Opdenaker is survived by her children, Paul (Michelle) Raemont, Steven Raemont, Dana (Michael) Sikich, Lizabeth (Paul) Hartley, Harry (Amy) Raemont, R. Craig (Vicki Senn) Raemont, and Joe (Sheila Senn) Raemont; and her beloved grandchildren, Arianna and Nina Raemont, Cameron, Jacob, Liam, and Elijah Sikich, Ted and Will Kramer, Julian and Avalon Senn-Raemont, and Holden and Sawyer Senn-Raemont; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eleanor J. Opdenaker, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eleanor Opdenaker as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
